Johnny and his mother are barely making ends meet.  His mom works two jobs to earn enough to pay the rent so Johnny comes up with a scheme to help them earn extra money.  The problem is, his idea is illegal and involves swindling innocent people out of money.  But them his mother his accused of murder.  The police and the whole town are convinced that she is guilty.  It is up to Johnny to prove her innocence and set her free.
