Lucas loves football more than anything in this world.  But at age 11, he has already had 3 concussions so his doctor recommends that he quit football for good.  Lucas is furious with his parents and decides to turn to his Uncle Benny for help.  Benny and Lucas' dad work for the New York City Fire Department.  On September 11, 2001, Lucas decides to skip school to go and visit Benny.  Little does he know, that by the end of the morning, the world will never be the same.
