The Raven Boys are continuing their search for a dead king known as Glendower, who they think is hidden somewhere close to their school in Henrietta.  Gansey is the leader of the group and his followers include Ronan, a boy who can bring things out of dreams, Adam, a boy who made a huge sacrifice and has yet to understand those repercussions, and Blue, the daughter of a psychic.  As the group investigates the mysterious Glendower, things begin to change and no one really knows what will happen next.
