Alyssa and Garrett are enjoying life in sunny California and they, like everyone else, take a lot of things in their lives for granted.  One day they wake up and find that their taps have gone dry.  Suddenly there is not water for drinking, cooking, bathing or anything.  At first everyone thinks it will just last a few days, but as the days turn into weeks, Alyssa and Garrett realize that life before the Tap-Out is over.  When their parents go in search of water and don't return, Alyssa and Garrett are going to have to take charge of their survival in a world that is crumbling more and more each day.  Will they be able to survive?
